The Waiting Child Heart Gallery of Oklahoma to Re-launch Initiative
Finding Oklahoma Children Forever Families
Tulsa, OK— The Waiting Child Heart Gallery is set to re-launch November 1, 2016. The purpose of the heart gallery is to allow children in the Department of Human Services custody the ability to share their own stories in an effort to find them permanency through forever families. The heart gallery is proud to present a new innovative website that will now not only include pictures and profiles of the states legally free children but now also shows videos of these children telling potential families about their interests, their hopes and their dreams. The heart gallery will also be launch all new traveling galleries going from one traveling display to 5 traveling displays to be utilized in venues such as businesses, churches, non-profits etc across the state.
The Waiting Child Heart Gallery board is hosting an event of celebration as they re-launch the Waiting Heart Gallery on Thursday, November 3rd. The evening will include a view of the updated galleries, a silent auction, and new website reveal. The event will take place at Apertures Photo at 1936 S. Harvard Ave in Tulsa. Appetizers and refreshments will be provided. Come be a part of this wonderful evening to further efforts in finding Oklahoma Children their forever families. Special guests include: Director Ed Lake; Department of Human Services and Tom Bates; Special Advisor to the Governor on Child Welfare.
